Developing a project after launch
What to do with a project that works but nobody dares touch: no documentation, and its author is gone.
Context
After the previous contractor left, the client was holding a project with no clear documentation, a pile of accumulated bugs and a fear of changing anything.
Problem
Any change could break the existing logic. The team could not tell which bugs were critical and which could wait.
Approach
Aivex started with an audit: architecture, forms, integrations, CMS, bugs, UX and the business logic behind them.
Solution
- recorded the current state of the project
- closed the critical bugs
- documented the key logic
- assembled the backlog
- prepared a development roadmap
Result
The project became manageable: priorities, documentation and a clear development plan replaced the chaotic patching.
